Water and Sewer Services
Water and wastewater treatment are provided by the Town of Kilmarnock’s Public Works Department:
Water Department
The Town of Kilmarnock’s water supply originates from three drilled wells with storage in three elevated tanks located throughout the town. Average daily use is approximately 200,000 gallons with 560,000 gallons of storage capacity. This system also provides water for the Town’s fire hydrant needs. The Utilities department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of these facilities for over 1000 residential and commercial service connections.
Wastewater Treatment Department
Sewer services are supplied by The Town of Kilmarnock at our treatment facility on Mac’s Pond Road. At the present time, the maximum daily treatment capacity is 500,000 gallons and the average daily use is approximately 200,000 gallons. Over 1,000 residential and commercial customers are being served by this system. The type of sewerage treatment is advanced activated sludge.
