Irvington Road Sewer Line Replacement

Walnut Drive Water Line Construction

The Town of Kilmarnock is soliciting sealed bids for the Sewer Line Replacement and Water Line Construction in two separate areas within the Town of Kilmarnock.

Bid Opening Date: May 21, 2008

Time:  2:00 pm (local prevailing time)

Location: Kilmarnock Town Hall, 514 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, VA 22482

At said time bids will be opened and read aloud.  All bids received after said time shall be returned unopened.  The project scope consists of the following work:

Furnishing and installation of approximately 780 lf of 4” and 8” PVC waterlines with two fire hydrants, valves, and road crossings.

Replacement of approximately 220 lf of existing sewer line located in Irvington Road with associated manholes and taps.  New service line will be 8”. 

Contract is to be awarded on a lump sum basis.  Contract documents may be examined at the following locations:

Contract documents may be obtained from Chris Plummer, at the Town of Kilmarnock office at the above address, or by calling (804) 435-1552.  Plans and specifications will be provided for a  non-refundable charge of $25 to cover the cost of reproduction.   Please call in advance of picking up Contract Documents to insure availability.

A non- mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on May 9, 2008 10:00 AM (local prevailing time) at the Kilmarnock Town Hall.  After the conference, a site visit may be arranged by the Owner.
