Town Council

The Town of Kilmarnock is chartered with a Council-Manager form of government. The mayor serves as the official ceremonial head of the town, chairing the Council sessions and voting only in the event of a tie within the Council. The six-member Town Council is elected to four-year alternating terms. The Town Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer of the town and also serves as Director of Public Utilities.

The Town Council meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Monday of every month at the Town Hall at 514 N. Main Street. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Click here for directions. September 20, 2010 Public Hearing

A public hearing will be conducted by the Kilmarnock Town Council on September 20, 2010 at 7 PM in the Kilmarnock Town Hall, 514 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, VA.

The following hearing is to solicit public comment on:

Request by R. Wayne Nunnally to rezone a parcel of land from R-1(low density residential) to R-2(medium density residential). The parcel is located at 201 Irvington Road, Tax Map 23A-11-60.  Documents related to this request can be found at the Town Office, 514 N. Main St., Kilmarnock, VA 22482 during office hours, Monday – Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM; and online at www.kilmarnockva.com
